Luxembourg & Zug – 23 October 2025 –AMINA Bank AG, a crypto-focused institution supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), has entered a collaboration with Tokeny, a tokenization technology provider owned by Apex Group. The initiative aims to support institutional adoption of blockchain-based representations of financial instruments under a regulated banking structure.
Under the agreement, AMINA Bank will provide regulated custody and banking services for underlying assets such as government bonds, corporate securities, and other traditional financial products. Tokeny will supply the on-chain issuance and management infrastructure. AMINA also offers crypto and stablecoin services that can support client movement between blockchain-based assets and traditional financial systems.
Luc Falempin, CEO of Tokeny, said the integration intends to support institutions that are evaluating tokenization while needing operational and regulatory safeguards.
The companies note that interest in blockchain-based assets has been rising among major institutions. Regulatory frameworks are also expanding, with examples including developments in the United States and Hong Kong.
As part of the collaboration, AMINA contributes banking compliance and custody capabilities under Swiss regulations, while Tokeny contributes an enterprise-grade tokenization platform that has been implemented across more than 120 use cases. Tokeny was acquired by Apex Group, which reports $3.5 trillion in assets under administration.
Myles Harrison, Chief Product Officer at AMINA Bank, stated that institutional clients are increasingly requesting solutions that enable tokenized asset exposure while maintaining established compliance and custody requirements.
The partnership focuses initially on traditional financial instruments, with the stated intention of expanding to other asset categories if market demand and regulatory conditions support such development.
Tokeny’s system uses the ERC-3643 standard, which builds on the widely used ERC-20 token standard by incorporating transfer controls to support regulatory compliance. The companies say this framework is intended to ensure that only eligible investors can hold and transfer the assets while preserving issuer oversight.
