LG Uplus has unveiled its next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) strategy under the vision “Humanizing Every Connection,” positioning people at the center of its AI transformation.
The company will operate a standalone exhibition hall at MWC 2026, held from March 2 to 5 in Barcelona, Spain, where it plans to present its differentiated AI technologies and a vision of how they could reshape everyday life.
The exhibition is structured around LG Uplus’ previously announced AI strategy, known as the “4A Intelligence” framework—Assured, Adaptive, Accompanied and Altruistic. Visitors will move through themed zones that highlight security-centered trust technologies, context-aware voice AI, collaborative innovation with affiliates and partners, and future scenarios enabled by human-centered AI.
Voice technology takes center stage at this year’s showcase. Leveraging its strengths as a telecommunications operator, LG Uplus is advancing voice-based AI beyond simple transcription or response functions toward systems capable of understanding context, predicting needs and taking action.
A key example is “ixi-O pro,” an upgraded version of the company’s AI agent ixi-O. Rather than merely responding to user requests, ixi-O pro is designed to analyze situations and context, proactively suggesting services when needed. Demonstrations at the booth depict various user scenarios—from young professionals to working parents and corporate executives—illustrating how the agent can address everyday challenges. The company also introduces elements of “physical AI,” integrating robotics so that systems can interpret conversational context and autonomously move and act in real-world environments.
LG Uplus is also expanding its AI contact center (AICC) capabilities. Developed in collaboration with OpenAI, the “Agentic AICC” is designed to handle complex inquiries through conversational interactions. The “Self-Evolving AICC” model further analyzes customer emotions and context in real time, continuously learning and improving its performance during consultations.
Security, a foundational requirement for AI adoption, is another key focus. Under its security brand “ixi-Guardian 2.0,” LG Uplus is presenting core technologies including homomorphic encryption, U+SASE and Alphakey. In collaboration with CryptoLab, the company has developed homomorphic encryption technology that enables computation on encrypted data, maintaining security throughout storage, transmission and processing. LG Uplus plans to integrate these capabilities into major services such as ixi-O and AICC to strengthen data protection.
In the network domain, the company is introducing an AI-driven “Autonomous NW” solution. Using AI agents and digital twin technologies, the system can automatically manage fault response, quality optimization and infrastructure maintenance. The model aims to create a self-operating network that analyzes conditions and executes actions without direct human intervention.
As part of its global AI ecosystem expansion strategy, LG Uplus is also presenting a “Sovereign AI Full-Stack” solution developed in collaboration with LG AI Research and FuriosaAI. The system is designed to enable on-site AI deployment with minimal infrastructure, requiring only power and network connectivity.
The exhibition concludes with a hyper-personalized media art installation created in partnership with global media art studio Universal Everything. The installation analyzes visitors’ voices and data in real time and generates corresponding natural landscapes on a large media wall, symbolizing the company’s vision of AI as a medium for human connection rather than merely a technological tool.
Through its participation at MWC 2026, LG Uplus aims to present a new telecommunications model that combines voice-driven AI experiences, advanced security capabilities and autonomous network technologies, reinforcing its ambition to become a human-centered AI company.
