Pearl Abyss announced that its latest title “Crimson Desert” has surpassed 5 million copies sold worldwide, achieving the milestone in just 26 days since launch.
According to the company, this marks the fastest sales record for a Korean console game, highlighting strong early momentum in the global market. The achievement significantly outpaces comparable titles that typically take several months to reach similar figures.
The game’s popularity has also been reflected across streaming and content platforms. Data from a global analytics provider showed more than 5,700 Twitch streams and over 108,000 YouTube videos related to the game between March 20 and April 14.
In terms of content creation, the United States accounted for the largest share, followed by Brazil, South Korea, India, and the United Kingdom. By viewership, the U.S. led with a dominant share, with South Korea, the U.K., Brazil, and France also showing strong engagement.
Industry observers note that the early performance positions Crimson Desert for potential long-term success, supported by sustained global interest and community-driven content.
Pearl Abyss said it plans to roll out updates incorporating user feedback, including expanded gameplay content and quality-of-life improvements. These updates are scheduled to be released sequentially from April through June.
