Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has announced its next-generation premium mobile platform, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, setting a new benchmark for flagship smartphone performance through advanced computing speed and enhanced AI capabilities.
As part of Qualcomm’s premium product portfolio, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 brings broader flexibility and choice to consumers while delivering innovations ranging from AI and camera enhancements to immersive gaming performance.
The platform incorporates the Qualcomm Sensing Hub, enabling the AI assistant to activate instantly with a simple gesture of raising the device. By intelligently interpreting data from microphones and sensors, it recognizes user intent in real time. Powered by the Qualcomm AI Engine, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 supports an agentic AI assistant that offers contextual responses and personalized recommendations. At its core is the Qualcomm Hexagon NPU, delivering up to 46% improved AI performance compared to the previous generation.
The customized Qualcomm Oryon CPU drives ultra-fast processing with speeds up to 3.8GHz, providing 36% faster performance and 76% enhanced web browsing responsiveness for seamless multitasking and improved efficiency in demanding applications. The Qualcomm Adreno GPU, built with a new sliced architecture, enables up to an 11% improvement in gaming and graphics rendering.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will be featured in flagship devices from global brands including iQOO, Motorola, OnePlus and Vivo.
