Valletta, Malta —OKX said on April 15 that it has launched X-Perps in Europe, a MiFID-regulated crypto derivatives product offering up to 10x leverage for eligible retail and institutional traders across the European Economic Area.
According to the company, X-Perps are five-year expiry crypto derivatives and are available through a unified account structure that supports multi-asset and multicurrency margining.
OKX said the product is designed to allow users to take directional or volatility-based positions within a regulated framework. It uses a funding-rate mechanism intended to keep derivatives pricing aligned with the underlying spot market.
The company said the platform includes continuous margining, support for spot and derivatives netting under a single risk framework, and the ability to post collateral in euros, U.S. dollars and selected crypto assets. It also provides trading tools such as advanced order types, charting functions, mobile access and API connectivity.
At launch, X-Perps will be available for trading in pairs linked to BTC, ETH, ADA, DOGE, PEPE, LTC, PUMP, SOL, XRP and SUI. OKX said it plans to add more pairs and other products over time as it expands its European regulated derivatives business.
Erald Ghoos, chief executive of OKX Europe, said the launch is part of the company’s broader strategy for regulated expansion in Europe.
OKX said X-Perps is supported by its existing risk systems, including negative balance protection and continuous exposure monitoring. The company also said European users must complete an appropriateness assessment before they can trade the product.
In parallel with the launch, OKX said it is expanding educational materials for European users, including multilingual content and guidance on leverage, liquidation thresholds and margin requirements.
