HiteJinro has recorded a strong marketing success in Thailand after selling out all 24,000 alcoholic beverages prepared for one of the country's most popular beach music festivals, highlighting the growing popularity of Korean liquor brands among local consumers.

The company announced on June 16 that it participated as an official sponsor of the Samed in Love Music Festival, held on Koh Samet Island on June 6. The annual summer event, featuring leading Thai artists and bands, attracted approximately 14,000 attendees this year and is widely regarded as a major gathering for Thailand’s younger generation.

To maximize consumer engagement, HiteJinro operated branded experience zones throughout the festival grounds. The company set up five “JINRO Bars,” offering a range of products including flavored soju varieties such as Green Grape, Strawberry, Lemon and Melon, along with Chamisul, Terra beer and Isultoktok sparkling beverages.

The response from festivalgoers exceeded expectations, with the entire inventory of 24,000 products selling out during the event. Company officials said the result demonstrated not only strong sales performance but also increasing awareness of Korean alcoholic beverages in the Thai market.

Beyond product sampling, HiteJinro enhanced brand visibility through large-scale installations featuring the JINRO logo and its signature toad mascot. The beachside photo zones became popular attractions among attendees, generating significant social media exposure and encouraging organic consumer interaction with the brand.

Industry observers note that demand for Korean food and beverage products has been rising across Southeast Asia, supported by the continued popularity of Korean entertainment and lifestyle content. Flavored soju products, in particular, have gained traction among younger consumers seeking lighter and more approachable alcoholic beverages.

Marketing experts also view experiential events such as music festivals as effective platforms for building brand loyalty and reaching new consumers. By allowing attendees to sample products in a relaxed and entertaining environment, brands can create stronger emotional connections and increase long-term purchasing interest.

The successful festival campaign is expected to support HiteJinro’s broader expansion strategy in Thailand, one of the company’s key markets in Southeast Asia. The company has been increasing its participation in local cultural, sports and entertainment events to strengthen consumer engagement and accelerate market penetration.

Industry analysts believe the latest success reflects the growing influence of Korean beverage brands overseas and could contribute to further growth opportunities for HiteJinro in the region’s rapidly expanding alcoholic beverage market.
