Pearl Abyss has officially launched its highly anticipated new title, “Crimson Desert,” worldwide on March 20 (Korea time), marking a major milestone for the company’s global gaming ambitions.
The open-world action-adventure game is now available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Apple Mac, Epic Games Store, and ROG Xbox Ally devices (Ally and Ally X).
“Crimson Desert” supports voiceovers in Korean, English, and Chinese, along with a total of 14 language options, aiming to reach a broad global audience.
The game follows the journey of its protagonist Kliff and his Greymane companions. Players embark on an epic adventure across the seamless open world of the Pywel continent, striving to reclaim a lost homeland and reunite scattered allies. Along the way, they must confront looming threats and restore the broken balance of the Abyss.
Built using Pearl Abyss’ proprietary BlackSpace Engine, the game has been widely praised for its realistic, high-quality graphics, dynamic combat system, and high level of player interaction within its expansive world.
Even before its release, “Crimson Desert” demonstrated strong global demand. As of March 19, it ranked No.1 in pre-orders on the PlayStation Store in major markets including South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Japan. The game also topped Steam’s global Top Sellers chart and ranked No.1 on the Epic Games Store bestseller list.
Technical performance has also been validated through in-depth analysis by global tech YouTube channel Digital Foundry, confirming stability across PC and PlayStation 5 Pro platforms.
Following its launch, “Crimson Desert” quickly rose to No.1 among trending games on YouTube, while attracting around 500,000 viewers on Twitch, highlighting its strong global interest and engagement.
