Zurich—SCRYPT said on April 15 that it has launched local Emirati dirham settlement rails, expanding its fiat on- and off-ramp capabilities for institutional clients.
The addition allows clients to settle directly in AED through SCRYPT’s cross-border settlement infrastructure, which also supports settlements in currencies including the euro, U.S. dollar, British pound, Swiss franc, Singapore dollar, Brazilian real and Australian dollar.
According to the company, the new AED option is intended to reduce the need for manual processing, additional intermediaries, and foreign-exchange conversion in transactions involving dirham settlement.
Gabriel Titopoulos, managing director of markets and trading at SCRYPT, said the launch responds to client demand for direct AED settlement and broader access to institutional cross-border payment infrastructure.
SCRYPT said the local AED settlement rails are now available to its institutional client network, which includes banks, fintech companies, family offices, brokers, funds, payment service providers and commodity traders.
