LG Display has reaffirmed its leadership in the automotive display market by winning two CES 2026 Innovation Awards with industry-first technologies.
The company announced on November 17 that its two new automotive OLED products—Dual View OLED and UDC-IR (Under Display Camera–Infrared) OLED—were selected as honorees in the “In-Vehicle Entertainment” category at CES 2026.
The award-winning Dual View OLED enables two different screens to be displayed simultaneously on a single panel, allowing the driver and front passenger to view separate content such as navigation and entertainment at the same time. When installed in the rear-seat center position, it allows two passengers to watch different content on each side, earning high praise for maximizing limited cabin space.
LG Display redesigned the pixel structure so that touch interaction on one side does not interfere with the other. The panel also features a tandem OLED structure, significantly improving durability and picture quality. Its ability to operate in extreme temperatures—from minus 40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius—was also recognized as a key strength.
The UDC-IR OLED, which also received an Innovation Award, is the world’s first automotive display to achieve a true full-screen design by concealing the camera beneath the panel. LG Display improved panel transparency and optimized algorithms to ensure the camera area is invisible to the driver. LG Innotek contributed high-resolution infrared cameras and image-enhancing software to enable precision monitoring that meets certification standards.
Globally, major automakers are increasingly adopting driver monitoring systems (DMS) in response to tightening safety regulations. With the UDC-IR OLED, LG Display aims to preempt this trend by offering a solution that integrates camera functionality without compromising design.
LG Display has consistently demonstrated its technological competitiveness, winning CES Innovation Awards each year since the introduction of the mobility pavilion. Past recognitions include the film-type speaker-based Automotive Sound Solution (2023) and the world’s largest single-panel 57-inch Pillar-to-Pillar LCD (2024).
At CES 2026, the company will operate a dedicated automotive display booth in the LVCC West Hall, showcasing next-generation mobility solutions to global OEM and automotive customers. Large OLED products will be displayed separately at a private exhibition space in the Conrad Hotel near the main convention center.
