BELGRADE, Serbia — March 2, 2026 — Solana wallet provider Solflare said it has launched a Privacy Aggregator built directly into its self-custodial wallet, positioning it as the first “wallet-native” privacy aggregation layer on Solana. The company said the system is designed to route user transactions through available privacy infrastructure and automatically select a provider based on execution terms, similar to how decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregators route trades for price efficiency.
Solflare debuted the product with Private Send, an optional setting applied on a per-transaction basis. The feature is intended to let users transfer funds without creating a straightforward, publicly visible on-chain link between the sender’s wallet address and the recipient’s wallet address.
How Private Send is described to work
Solflare said Private Send is facilitated by Houdini Swap, a privacy-focused swapping service. Under the described flow, a transfer is routed through intermediary addresses associated with Houdini Swap, aiming to obscure the direct sender-to-recipient linkage on-chain. Solflare said the amount remains visible, while the direct relationship between the two wallet addresses is not.
Solflare also stated that, inside the wallet interface, users can review the fee and estimated completion time surfaced from the “best-priced provider,” then confirm the transaction. The company said settlement is typically completed within minutes and that Solflare does not add an additional fee on top of provider costs.
Positioning and rationale
Solflare’s executives framed the launch as an attempt to consolidate privacy tools that have historically been spread across specialized applications and workflows. In comments attributed to Solflare leadership, the company said its approach is to make privacy execution accessible through a single wallet interface while sourcing execution from integrated protocols.
Solflare argued that default transparency on public blockchains can expose wallet balances, transaction history, and relationship mapping through basic transfers—factors that have driven some users toward standalone privacy tools with varying usability and trust tradeoffs.
What Solflare says comes next
Solflare said Private Send is the first feature delivered through the Privacy Aggregator, with additional privacy-oriented features planned. The company also said it intends to open the aggregator to “qualified” intent-based privacy protocols seeking distribution to Solflare’s user base, which it described as 4 million+ active users.
