Celltrion announced on the 6th that it publicly disclosed its initial non-clinical research findings for its emerging antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) candidates at the ‘World ADC 2025’ conference held in San Diego, USA, from November 3 to 6 (local time).
The prestigious international event, widely regarded as the top platform for ADC research, attracts over 1,400 global pharmaceutical and biotech experts annually to share the latest ADC technologies and research achievements. At this year’s conference, Celltrion presented its preclinical study results related to two promising drug pipelines, ‘CT-P70’ and ‘CT-P71,’ through poster sessions.
In non-clinical trials, CT-P70 demonstrated reduced cell viability and tumor growth suppression in models of third-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) resistance patients with EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Significantly, its anticancer efficacy extended beyond NSCLC, showing sustained effects in various solid tumors like colorectal and gastric cancers, indicating its potential to progress into subsequent clinical studies.
Meanwhile, CT-P71 exhibited comparable anticancer activity to the approved treatment ‘Padcev’ (Enfortumab Vedotin) in models of urothelial carcinoma, breast cancer, and prostate cancer. The candidate maintained effectiveness even in models resistant or unresponsive to Padcev, suggesting its promise as a new treatment option for patients post-Padcev.
Both candidates target tumor-related molecules—cMET and Nectin-4 respectively—and have received FDA and MFDS approval for Phase 1 clinical trials, currently progressing in clinical development.
Celltrion expressed confidence that the robustness of the preclinical data supports its goal to develop “Best-in-Class” ADCs with top-tier mechanisms of action. The company aims to leverage these promising findings to generate excellent clinical data and ultimately deliver innovative, high-performance ADC cancer therapies.
A company representative stated, “This presentation at World ADC underscores Celltrion’s ADC technology’s global competitiveness. We will continue to build on our meaningful preclinical data to strengthen our position in the international antibody drug market.”
