Hana Bank has strengthened its global standing in private banking after securing two major awards at the Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2026.

The bank announced on April 28 that it was named “Korea’s Best Private Bank” and “Korea’s Best for Succession Planning,” marking a dual recognition of its wealth management and inheritance advisory capabilities.

Organized annually by Euromoney, the awards evaluate financial institutions worldwide based on their performance in wealth management, succession planning services, and client-centric product offerings.

With this latest recognition, Hana Bank has now received the award a total of 19 times since first winning in 2005, when it became the first Korean commercial bank to earn the distinction. The continued recognition highlights the bank’s long-standing expertise in private banking and its competitive edge in serving high-net-worth individuals.

Euromoney cited Hana Bank’s integrated wealth management approach—combining financial and non-financial services for ultra-high-net-worth clients—as a key factor behind the awards. The bank was also recognized for its comprehensive succession planning services, including inheritance and gift strategies, as well as its ability to deliver tailored financial products.

In particular, the succession planning award reflects Hana Bank’s early adoption of trust-based wealth transfer services. The bank introduced Korea’s first living trust product, “Hana Living Trust,” in 2010, and has since expanded its offerings to include inheritance planning, business succession consulting, and philanthropic trusts across the client lifecycle.

Hana Bank said the recognition reflects its commitment to providing holistic financial services that go beyond asset management to encompass life planning and intergenerational wealth transfer strategies.

A company official noted that the bank will continue to refine its customer-centric wealth management strategy and strengthen integrated solutions that combine financial and non-financial services.

The latest awards further reinforce Hana Bank’s position in the global private banking market and solidify its leadership in South Korea’s competitive wealth management sector.
