CJ OliveNetworks is accelerating its push into the next-generation logistics market by combining artificial intelligence (AI) transformation capabilities with advanced robotics. Through a new partnership with a global robotics company, the firm aims to strengthen its position in the rapidly evolving logistics automation sector.

The company announced on March 23 that it has signed a strategic partnership with Exotec, a France-based logistics automation company. The agreement was unveiled at the 10th anniversary event of La French Tech held in Seoul, highlighting growing collaboration between global technology players in the automation space.

At the core of the partnership is the integration of AI-driven operational optimization with robotic automation systems. CJ OliveNetworks plans to leverage its AI transformation (AX) capabilities to enhance Exotec’s three-dimensional logistics robot system, Skypod, and deliver customized, end-to-end automation solutions tailored to client needs.

Skypod is designed to move both vertically and horizontally within warehouses, enabling efficient use of high-density storage racks. Its high speed and throughput significantly improve warehouse productivity, while its modular architecture allows for gradual expansion without disrupting existing operations. This flexibility is increasingly seen as a critical factor for companies seeking scalable automation.

Through this collaboration, CJ OliveNetworks intends to expand its logistics automation footprint across multiple industries. The company is focusing on sectors where logistics efficiency is essential, including food and beverage and bio industries, aiming to build a broader portfolio of real-world applications and strengthen its market competitiveness.

Exotec, meanwhile, has been gaining traction globally with its warehouse automation solutions, securing a growing base of international clients. By partnering with Exotec, CJ OliveNetworks is expected to internalize advanced robotics technologies and enhance its capabilities in both domestic and global markets.

Industry analysts view this partnership as part of a broader shift toward digital transformation in logistics. As e-commerce continues to expand, speed and efficiency in logistics operations have become key competitive factors. This trend is driving rapid demand for integrated solutions that combine AI and robotics.

A CJ OliveNetworks official said the collaboration with a global technology partner will further strengthen its logistics automation capabilities, adding that the company plans to expand applications across industries and actively pursue opportunities in overseas markets.

The partnership reflects a wider industry movement where logistics companies are moving beyond traditional systems toward intelligent, automated operations. By combining AI with robotics, CJ OliveNetworks is positioning itself to play a more prominent role in shaping the future of logistics.
