South Korea’s Dong-A Pharmaceutical is accelerating the global expansion of its inner beauty brand “ILO” with an official entry into the U.S. offline retail market, marking a new step in its overseas growth strategy.

The company announced on May 29 that ILO products have been officially launched at the Olive Young store in Pasadena, California—CJ Olive Young’s flagship entry point into the U.S. offline market. The move follows strong performance and brand growth in Korea’s Olive Young network and its global online platform.

According to Dong-A Pharmaceutical, the decision to enter the U.S. offline channel was driven by ILO’s solid sales track record and high customer satisfaction within Olive Young stores and its global e-commerce platform. The brand aims to introduce its specialized inner beauty solutions to American consumers through a combination of physical retail and online channels.

The product lineup available at the Pasadena store includes five key items: “Type 1 Collagen Biotin Ampoule (8-pack),” “Dual Slim Cut (60 tablets),” “Glutathione (30 sachets),” “Mucin Collagen Jelly (10 packs),” and “Kamut Enzyme (30 sachets).”

Among them, the Type 1 Collagen Biotin Ampoule is considered a flagship product that reflects Dong-A Pharmaceutical’s core formulation technology and has gained strong popularity in Korea’s Olive Young stores. The Dual Slim Cut product is also expanding its presence in the slimming supplement category based on its scientifically designed ingredient composition.

The brand will also simultaneously launch sales through Olive Young’s U.S. online platform, aiming to maximize synergy between offline and online channels as it strengthens its presence in the American market.

A company official said the expansion into the Pasadena store represents a meaningful milestone made possible by strong consumer trust in ILO’s product competitiveness across both domestic and global Olive Young channels. The company added that it will work closely with CJ Olive Young to promote the global competitiveness of K-inner beauty and provide more advanced health and wellness experiences to international consumers.

Meanwhile, Dong-A Pharmaceutical is continuing to broaden its global footprint by exporting flagship product lines to key markets including China, Japan, Vietnam, and Mongolia. The company is also shifting beyond online distribution toward expanded offline retail networks, reinforcing its ambition to grow into a global healthcare company.
