Zeroport’s founders, both veterans of the IDF’s Unit 81, said they developed the platform after identifying gaps in secure remote access during reserve duty following October 7./ Co-founder and CTO, Lavi Friedman (Left) & Co-founder and CEO, Joseph Gertz (Right).

HERZLIYA, Israel — January 15, 2026 — Zeroport said on Wednesday it has raised $10 million in seed funding to expand internationally and further develop its non-IP secure remote access technology.

The round was led by lool ventures, with participation from Clarim Ventures, CyberFuture (backed by Elron Ventures), and Fusion Fund. Zeroport said CyberFuture includes enterprise CISOs from major companies, including Siemens Energy.

Zeroport said it plans to use the funding to expand into North America and APAC, increase headcount from 25 to 40 employees within a year, and enhance its Fantom platform. The company said its technology is already deployed across critical infrastructure, utilities, defense, and government sectors, and is in use by large organizations worldwide, including in power, finance, and government environments.

The company argues that the secure remote access market remains exposed because most solutions rely on IP-based communication, which it says enables malware infiltration and the theft of sensitive internal data. It pointed to the breach of CISA, the U.S. cyber defense agency, through vulnerabilities in VPN devices as an example of the risks tied to legacy architectures.

Zeroport said its Fantom platform is designed to provide remote access without allowing IP-based traffic to pass into protected environments. It uses patented hardware to create a physical non-IP bridge at network boundaries, limiting inbound flows to human interaction signals and outbound flows to display-only pixel streams. The company said this prevents packets from entering or leaving the network, reducing exposure to malware and data exfiltration.

Zeroport said its approach can reduce costs by replacing legacy remote access stacks and enabling remote operations that were previously not feasible. One systems integrator reduced annual travel costs by $5 million, the company said, by using the platform for secure remote monitoring and maintenance.

The company said it has been validated through participation in Singapore’s government-backed CyberBoost Catalyse program and is pursuing patent protection for its technologies. It said its customers span industrial, finance, defense, and industrial control system (ICS) environments.

Zeroport was founded by executives with military intelligence backgrounds. Co-founder and CEO Joseph Gertz has more than 15 years of business leadership and entrepreneurial experience, the company said. Co-founder and CTO Lavi Friedman, and Zeroport’s COO Rotem Kalmi, are alumni of the IDF’s Unit 81, which focuses on technological intelligence. Zeroport said Friedman and Gertz identified gaps in secure remote access while serving reserve duty following October 7.

“As geopolitical uncertainty reshapes the global threat landscape, cyber resilience has never been more critical,” said Judith Wunschik, Global CISO at Siemens Energy, adding that the company sees a need to rethink remote access for sensitive industrial environments.

Clarim Ventures said feedback from IT and security reseller partners in Canada and the U.S. described the technology as a “game-changer,” citing interest from executives in insurance, finance, energy, and critical infrastructure sectors. Elron Ventures said it invested on the view that Zeroport’s approach could replace multiple components in enterprise remote access stacks.
