Kolmar Korea has been selected by TIME magazine as one of the “World’s Best Companies for Sustainable Growth 2026,” marking the company’s second consecutive appearance on the list.
According to Kolmar Korea on November 14, TIME, together with global research firm Statista, announced the world’s top 500 sustainable growth companies, where Kolmar Korea ranked 294th. Among Korean cosmetics companies, Kolmar Korea is the only firm to be included for two years in a row.
TIME and Statista evaluated companies using an equal-weighted combination of revenue growth rate, financial stability, and environmental impact metrics. More than 4,000 companies worldwide that transparently disclosed environmental data were included in the assessment.
Kolmar Korea received an overall score of 81.02 points, placing it in the top 7 percent globally and fifth among Korean companies. It ranked second nationwide in carbon intensity and emissions reduction performance, while achieving results within the top 30 percent globally in waste management and water resource management.
The company has been expanding its eco-friendly initiatives across all areas of its operations. Kolmar Korea was the first in the industry to develop sustainable packaging solutions such as paper tubes, paper sticks, and paper-based one-hand pumps, significantly reducing plastic usage. These products have won major global design awards including IDEA, iF Design, and Red Dot. The company has also introduced environmentally conscious cosmetic products such as an anti-aging sunscreen with 83 percent fewer carbon emissions and biodegradable shampoo and body wash products that decompose at a rate of over 99 percent.
In its manufacturing processes, Kolmar Korea has achieved an 84.8 percent recycling rate and reduced landfill waste by 57.8 percent year-on-year while pursuing a zero-landfill target. The company also supports the K-beauty ecosystem by offering regular trend briefings and strategic seminars for indie beauty brands, assisting pop-up stores during Seoul Beauty Week, and hosting sustainability seminars such as “CONNECT FOR GREEN” to promote co-prosperity with partner companies.
Yoon Sang-Hyun, Vice Chairman of Kolmar Group, said the company’s repeat inclusion reflects “the results of comprehensive sustainable management efforts,” adding that Kolmar Korea will continue to uphold its responsibility as a leading global company through eco-friendly management and technological innovation.
