Netmarble has announced that its upcoming monster-taming action RPG MonGil: Star Dive will officially launch worldwide on April 15 for both PC and mobile platforms, excluding China and Vietnam.
Developed by Netmarble Monster, MonGil: Star Dive is the sequel to the popular mobile collectible RPG Monster Taming, which was first released in 2013 and gained significant popularity among players.
The new title features high-quality cinematic storytelling powered by Unreal Engine 5, dynamic combat based on a three-character party with real-time tag gameplay, and a unique “Monster Ring Collecting” system that allows players to capture, collect, and combine monsters.
Ahead of its launch, MonGil: Star Dive has undergone two rounds of closed beta testing (CBT) both domestically and internationally to improve gameplay quality. The game has also been showcased at major global gaming events such as Gamescom in Germany and the Tokyo Game Show in Japan, allowing the development team to engage directly with international audiences.
The game attracted additional attention at G-Star 2025, where Netmarble revealed a new region and characters inspired by Korean cultural elements. More recently, the title was presented at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2026 in San Francisco, where Netmarble collaborated with Xbox to host on-site demonstrations and showcase gameplay footage, drawing attention from global media.
Global pre-registration for MonGil: Star Dive is currently underway. Players who register their mobile phone numbers through the official brand website will receive the beast-type healer character Francis as a reward.
Additional pre-registration bonuses are also available through Google Play and the Apple App Store, including 10 “Compasses of Promise,” a key in-game currency, along with other rewards designed to support early gameplay progression.
More details about MonGil: Star Dive, including pre-registration and launch information, can be found on the official website, the Epic Games Store page, and the game’s official social media channels.
