NC is bringing the latest expansion of Guild Wars 2 to its conclusion with a major content update that combines the final chapter of its storyline with a fresh slate of endgame activities.
ArenaNet, NC’s North American development studio, is releasing “Code of Creation” on Sept. 15 in North America and Europe. The update marks the final major chapter of Visions of Eternity, the game’s sixth expansion, which launched in October 2025.
The new update takes players to Leyspring Hollows, a new exploration area where they can discover the conclusion to the story surrounding Castora Island, the central setting of the expansion.
Along with the new region, players can unlock additional mastery abilities and earn new armor and weapon sets as they explore the area.
Cooperative gameplay is also being significantly expanded. The update introduces Nexus of Eternity, a new piece of group content offered in two separate formats: a 10-player raid and a Convergence supporting up to 50 players.
Although the two activities share the same name and setting, they are designed around different group sizes and gameplay approaches. NC and ArenaNet are also planning a higher-difficulty Challenge Mode for the content at a later date.
Players looking for smaller-scale challenges can enter Solitary Throne, a new Fractal mini-dungeon designed for groups of up to five.
Character progression is receiving new options as well. The update adds Wages of Stars, a new legendary weapon, along with additional Relics that allow players to further customize their character builds.
The Wizard’s Vault has also been updated with a new selection of seasonal rewards, giving players additional progression goals alongside the expansion’s new content.
With Code of Creation, Visions of Eternity completes the major content roadmap announced at launch. The expansion has now delivered its planned new regions, a 10-player raid and legendary-tier equipment, among other content additions.
Players who already own Visions of Eternity will be able to access the new update without purchasing additional content.
The structure of the final update highlights ArenaNet’s effort to balance narrative progression with long-term gameplay. While Leyspring Hollows closes out the expansion’s central storyline, the addition of raids, large-scale Convergences, Fractals and new progression systems gives veteran players new reasons to remain engaged.
