The National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (NACF) has obtained a patent in China for its proprietary smart work technology, strengthening its global intellectual property portfolio following an earlier patent registration in the United States.
The organization announced on July 30 that the technology has been granted a patent by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), marking another milestone in its digital innovation strategy.
The smart work platform enables employees to securely access a cloud-based work environment from tablets, laptops, and other devices regardless of location. Designed to meet the stringent security standards of the financial industry, the system provides a work environment comparable to office PCs while ensuring the protection of sensitive data.
The platform also supports employees working in rural communities and remote agricultural areas, allowing them to continue internal operations and provide services to farmers without disruption. Cloud-based collaboration tools further improve productivity and communication.
Industry experts say that the competitiveness of smart work platforms in the financial sector increasingly depends on their ability to combine strong cybersecurity with seamless business continuity. As financial institutions accelerate digital transformation, secure remote work technologies have become a key differentiator.
NACF's smart work technology has previously been introduced at Microsoft's "Microsoft Everywhere" event as a best practice for cloud-based hybrid work and has attracted interest from financial institutions and IT companies in Korea and overseas.
Building on the platform, NACF plans to integrate artificial intelligence into its digital workplace to improve operational efficiency and enhance services for farmers. The organization expects AI to support workflow automation, knowledge management, and customer services while further advancing its digital transformation.
