SPC Group’s Paris Baguette reinforced its global brand presence by appearing once again during the live broadcast of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting in New York this year. This marks the bakery brand’s participation in the iconic U.S. holiday event for the second consecutive year.
Since its inception in 1959, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting has served as the symbol of the start of the Christmas season in the United States. The annual event draws massive crowds of citizens and tourists and is broadcast live nationwide by NBC. This year’s spectacle featured a 23-meter-tall, 11-ton Christmas tree illuminated with more than 50,000 LED lights.
During the live broadcast, Paris Baguette prominently showcased its U.S. holiday cake lineup. NBC hosts sampled several seasonal offerings—including a chocolate mousse layer cake, strawberry soft cream cake, red velvet cake, and Nutcracker blueberry chiffon cake—while giving positive feedback such as “a wonderfully soft mousse texture,” “a great balance between strawberries and cream,” and “a wide range of flavors to choose from.”
Beyond the tree lighting ceremony, Paris Baguette has been actively engaging in media outreach across the United States. On December 1, the brand appeared on CBS’s “The Drew Barrymore Show” to introduce branded merchandise, including cushions, clothing, and decorative items inspired by Paris Baguette favorites such as croissants and baguettes. These items are sold through the official online store, “The Paris Baguette Shop.” In addition, the company is running year-end marketing campaigns through digital billboard advertisements in New York’s Times Square.
A Paris Baguette official stated that the brand is “expanding its visibility around major New York landmarks such as the Rockefeller Center and Times Square, strengthening its influence in the U.S. market.”
Paris Baguette has steadily expanded its North American presence since opening its first U.S. store in Los Angeles in 2005. The bakery now operates around 270 stores across the region. In September, the company also began construction on a large-scale bakery production facility in Texas, spanning 28,000 square meters, further accelerating its manufacturing and distribution expansion in North America.
