Hanwha Vision announced on January 14 that it has unveiled AI-based security solutions designed to deliver optimal performance even in extreme environments, marking their world debut at the Middle East’s largest security exhibition.

The company participated in Intersec 2026, held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, from January 12 to 14, where it presented its next-generation video security technologies under the theme “Beyond Imaging, Beyond Intelligence.”

At the center of the exhibition was the world’s first AI ruggedized PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera. Five units installed at the center of the booth were interconnected as a single system, performing synchronized movements that drew strong attention from visitors.

The camera is engineered to operate reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from minus 50 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius. It incorporates defrosting and anti-icing technologies to ensure clear imaging in harsh conditions and meets international dustproof and waterproof standards, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial environments.

Hanwha Vision’s AI system-on-chip Wisenet 9 also attracted significant interest. The exhibition featured a mini darkroom and a 3D hologram display, allowing visitors to experience the chipset’s low-light performance firsthand.

Wisenet 9 is equipped with dual neural processing units, enabling separate processing of image enhancement and AI video analytics. Products incorporating this dual-NPU technology have been launched since the first half of last year and have received positive market feedback, according to the company.

In addition, Hanwha Vision showcased solutions tailored to the Middle East market, including the WACS Plus access control system, the Vision Insight video management software, and the Smart Solar Pole, an eco-friendly security infrastructure solution. These offerings, designed to reflect regional and industrial characteristics, generated strong interest among visitors. During the exhibition, the company also held meetings with multiple global partners to discuss market trends and potential collaborations.

The exhibition booth featured a new visual concept dubbed “Pixel,” symbolizing Hanwha Vision’s commitment to analyzing video data with precision down to its smallest unit and reflecting the company’s long-term technological direction.

Meanwhile, global market research firm Omdia projects that the video security market in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will record double-digit annual growth rates from this year through 2029.

Hanwha Vision has also recently drawn attention after being selected to supply security cameras for Burj Azizi, a supertall skyscraper currently under construction in Dubai. The building, planned to reach a height of 725 meters with 140 floors, is expected to become the world’s second-tallest structure upon completion.

A Hanwha Vision official said demand for AI-based video security is rising rapidly in the Middle East amid the expansion of smart cities and smart factories, adding that the company will continue to strengthen its competitiveness in the region and the global market through differentiated AI technologies.
