SK telecom showcased its artificial intelligence capabilities at MWC 2026, the world’s largest mobile communications exhibition, as it seeks to strengthen its presence in the global AI market.

The company announced on March 6 that it participated in the event held from March 2 to March 5 in Barcelona, Spain, presenting a wide range of AI technologies that attracted strong interest from global companies and institutions.

At the event, SK telecom operated a 992-square-meter exhibition booth in Hall 3 of Fira Gran Via, one of the main venues of the exhibition. The company introduced a total of 27 AI-related technologies and services, including AI data centers, network AI, and marketing AI infrastructure, as well as AI models, services, and ecosystem initiatives.

Visitors showed particular interest in experiencing SK telecom’s “Full-Stack AI” strategy, which integrates infrastructure, platforms, and services. Approximately 75,000 people visited the company’s exhibition booth during the event.

The exhibition design itself also drew attention. Five large transparent LED installations known as the “Infinite Portal” were suspended in the air to create an immersive visual experience. In another area, visitors lined up to participate in a remote-controlled forklift driving game designed to demonstrate the concept of Full-Stack AI.

SK telecom’s technologies also attracted interest from global industry analysts and media organizations. Representatives from research firms including Omdia, IDC, Analysys Mason, Counterpoint Research, and GlobalData visited the booth, along with journalists from technology-focused outlets such as Nikkei BP and SDxCentral. They met with SK telecom executives to learn more about the company’s AI data center capabilities and sovereign AI strategy.

During the event, SK telecom also held discussions with global partners on collaboration opportunities. The company organized a conference on AI data centers attended by representatives from global telecom operators such as Singtel Digital InfraCo, e& International, and NTT, as well as AI data center solution companies including Rebellions and MangoBoost. At the conference, SK telecom introduced its “Sovereign AI Package” strategy.

The company further expanded partnerships to strengthen its AI data center capabilities. SK telecom signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding with server manufacturer Supermicro and AI data center solution provider Schneider Electric to explore ways to reduce the cost and deployment time of AI data centers. In addition, it announced plans to collaborate with computing interconnect technology company Panmnesia to develop innovative AI data center architectures.

SK telecom also continued its efforts to support startups. At “4YFN,” a startup-focused event held alongside MWC 2026, the company organized a dedicated exhibition area featuring 15 startups in the AI and ESG sectors. European venture capital firms were invited to an investment briefing session, where SK telecom CEO Ryu Young-sang stated that the company aims to grow together with 500 startups over the next five years.

The company also received recognition at the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO) 2026. SK telecom won the “Best Cloud Solution” award for its B200-based GPU cluster “Haein,” marking the third consecutive year it has received the honor in that category.

Kwon Young-sang, Head of Communications Support at SK telecom, said the company successfully demonstrated the competitiveness of its Full-Stack AI strategy to the global market through MWC 2026. He added that SK telecom will continue expanding the value of its AI technologies through global exhibitions and partnerships.
