PU captured the Asia‑Pacific Cup title at the global esports tournament Summoners War World Arena Championship 2025 (SWC2025), winning the regional crown for the second consecutive year.
Com2uS held the Asia‑Pacific Cup—part of the SWC2025 series that crowns the world’s best players of Summoners War: Sky Arena—in Busan, South Korea, marking the first time the event took place in the country.
To provide more Korean fans with an immersive viewing experience, Com2uS partnered with the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency and staged the tournament at Busan Esports Arena, a venue equipped with dedicated esports facilities and advanced gaming‑culture infrastructure.
The event featured one‑on‑one matches with top global players, prediction contests, and photo zones, creating a festival atmosphere that drew enthusiastic reactions from attendees. Hundreds of spectators lined up early at the arena, and cheering intensified as the matches began at 2 p.m.
Matches were played as best‑of‑five single‑elimination rounds and broadcast live on the official Summoners War esports YouTube and Twitch channels. Full‑match, close contests from the quarterfinals onward heated up the venue. PU, KELIANBAO, TAKUZO10 and ETOWARU advanced to the semifinals after nail‑biting matches, with last year’s champion PU and TAKUZO10 reaching the final after dominant performances.
In the final, both players traded sets in a tense showdown before PU won two consecutive sets to secure the championship, earning a spot in the SWC2025 World Final and cementing PU’s status as the Asia‑Pacific region’s top player for a second straight year.
PU, TAKUZO10 and third‑place finisher KELIANBAO — who defeated ETOWARU in the third‑place match — received tickets to the World Final along with medals and a combined prize pool totaling $20,000 (approximately KRW 28.5 million).
With the Asia‑Pacific Cup concluded, SWC2025 has finalized its World Final lineup. Twelve players representing Asia, the Americas and Europe will compete for the world championship in Paris, France, on Nov. 1 at 9 p.m. KST.
