LS Electric has received global recognition for its smart energy technologies and sustainability performance, earning a major award for its contributions to carbon neutrality and energy efficiency.
The company announced that it won the corporate category award at the “2026 GEAN Awards,” presented by the Global E-Mobility Alliance Network during the 13th International e-Mobility Expo held on March 25 at Jeju Shinhwa World. Seo Jang-cheol, Chief Technology Officer for Power at LS Electric, attended the ceremony to accept the award.
The GEAN Awards recognize companies, cities, and organizations that have made significant contributions to climate change response, carbon neutrality, and the development of smart cities and e-mobility industries. LS Electric was selected as the top company among nine candidates. In other categories, Guangzhou Nansha District in China was named in the city category, while the Malaysia Electric Vehicle Association received the award in the association category.
LS Electric was highly evaluated for its role in improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions through smart energy technologies. The company has been actively contributing to the development of a low-carbon industrial ecosystem by building power distribution and transmission systems, supporting RE100 initiatives through the integration of solar power and energy storage systems (ESS), and offering energy efficiency solutions.
In particular, LS Electric has been advancing direct current (DC)-based energy solutions in line with global trends of digitalization and electrification. By expanding energy optimization technologies, the company has helped improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions across industrial sites.
