NCSoft’s upcoming open-world tactical shooter “Cinder City” received strong enthusiasm from visitors at G-STAR 2025, where the company showcased a hands-on demo booth and unveiled new video content.
Jae-Hyun Bae, CEO of BigFire Games, said at the event that the studio aims to create a game where “countless players can immerse themselves in the narrative and enjoy intense cooperative gameplay.” He added that as NCSoft’s first open-world shooter title, “Cinder City” will deliver AAA-level storytelling and large-scale co-op experiences.
At G-STAR 2025, NCSoft set up a demo booth offering a hands-on experience of the campaign mode, which is set in a devastated version of Seoul and follows the story of the character Seven. Players could engage in strategic combat using tactical gear and weapons against various enemies such as the Iron Smasher and mutated Creatures. Visitors who participated in the demo received a portable battery engraved with the game’s brand identity. The booth remained fully occupied throughout November 14, with wait times exceeding 180 minutes.
NCSoft also premiered a new trailer for “Cinder City” at the company’s dome-style panoramic theater, NC Cinema. The video showcased the ruined city, hostile factions including mutated Creatures, and four heroes battling massive bosses. The trailer concluded with the first reveal of a new hero named Angel.
“Cinder City” is currently in development with a global launch scheduled for the second half of 2026. The newly released trailer is available on NCSoft’s official YouTube channel.
