Mirae Asset Global Investments has launched a new exchange-traded fund designed to capture growth across Google’s expanding AI ecosystem, reflecting a broader shift in investor attention from GPU makers alone to the wider infrastructure powering next-generation artificial intelligence.
The newly listed TIGER Google Value Chain ETF invests in approximately 20 companies linked to Google’s AI infrastructure network, including semiconductor, optical communication, and data center technology firms.
The launch comes as the global AI investment landscape evolves beyond the earlier Nvidia-dominated rally. Market attention is increasingly turning toward companies building the broader infrastructure required to support large-scale AI services, cloud computing, and next-generation data connectivity.
Google has emerged as a major AI infrastructure player by vertically integrating its own technologies across semiconductors, cloud platforms, and data center operations. The company develops proprietary AI accelerators known as Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) while also operating large-scale networking and computing infrastructure internally.
Industry observers say this integrated approach gives Google an advantage in scaling AI services while improving operational efficiency and lowering long-term infrastructure costs.
The ETF also places a strong emphasis on optical networking and high-speed data transmission technologies, areas increasingly viewed as critical to the future of AI infrastructure.
As AI models become larger and more complex, the bottleneck in performance is shifting from raw computing power to data movement efficiency across servers and data centers. This trend has increased investor interest in optical interconnect and networking companies that support hyperscale AI systems.
Among the ETF’s major holdings are Lumentum Holdings, which supplies optical circuit switches used in Google’s next-generation AI network architecture known as “SuperPod,” and InnoLight Technology, a leading optical transceiver company that converts AI computing data into optical signals for high-speed transmission.
Other key holdings include Marvell Technology, known for its connectivity and DSP semiconductor solutions, and Ciena, a major provider of optical transport networking equipment for large-scale data center connectivity.
The fund is also structured for long-term retirement investment accounts in South Korea, allowing allocations through pension savings and retirement pension accounts.
“The competitive landscape in AI is expanding from individual chips and models to broader ecosystems,” said Jeong Eui-hyun, head of ETF management at Mirae Asset Global Investments. “The ETF is designed to provide simultaneous exposure to semiconductor and optical communication companies growing alongside Google’s AI infrastructure expansion.”
