San Francisco, California and Bonn, Germany – November 25, 2025 — DHL Group, the world’s leading logistics provider, is accelerating its enterprise-wide AI strategy through an expanded partnership between DHL Supply Chain and AI startup HappyRobot. The collaboration advances agentic AI deployment across global contract logistics operations, targeting faster, more consistent communication and improved customer experience.

DHL Supply Chain has already introduced HappyRobot’s autonomous AI agents in multiple regions for use cases including appointment scheduling, driver follow-up coordination, and high-priority warehouse communication. By handling routine phone and email interactions, the technology supports operational scalability while reducing manual workloads across facilities.

Quili Peña, Head of Strategy & Operations at HappyRobot, emphasized the momentum of the initiative: “Working with the DHL Supply Chain leadership on this landmark effort has been fantastic. The teams brought clarity, urgency, and strong commitment to make this a reality, and we’re excited to continue building together.”

Sally Miller, CIO of DHL Supply Chain, noted that the deployment is part of a structured approach to generative and agentic AI validated over the past 18 months. “Building on our operational experience with data analytics, robotic process automation, and self-learning tools, we are now integrating AI agents to drive efficiency for customers while making roles more engaging for employees. Automating repetitive tasks such as manual data entry, routine scheduling, and standardized communications enables teams to focus on higher-value problem solving.”

Current deployments target hundreds of thousands of emails and millions of voice minutes per year. AI agents already support key workflows, including transport status calls and warehouse escalation procedures, helping teams manage high-volume communication with greater consistency.

Yamil Mateo, Head of Product at HappyRobot, said close cooperation between the two companies has resulted in agentic capabilities tailored to DHL’s operational environment. Danny Luo, founding engineer, added: “We’ve established a unified AI worker orchestration layer across email, WhatsApp, and SMS with built-in fault tolerance, enabling omnichannel reliability for critical logistics processes.”

These implementations have demonstrated clear performance impact by reducing manual effort, improving responsiveness, and enabling teams to focus on exception handling and strategic functions. By automating high-volume communication tasks, DHL is strengthening customer-centric services while advancing long-term workforce sustainability.

“At DHL Supply Chain, our people are at the heart of everything we do,” said Lindsay Bridges, EVP Human Resources at DHL Supply Chain. “AI agents allow us to relieve teams from repetitive tasks and enable them to focus on meaningful, high-value work. In competitive labor markets, such technologies help us maintain — and improve — responsiveness and service consistency while making operational roles more attractive and sustainable.”

HappyRobot’s platform enables AI agents to autonomously interact via phone, email, and messaging tools, while integrating with DHL’s internal systems. Additional use cases are currently under evaluation as DHL Group expands its AI initiatives across business divisions.

“At HappyRobot, we envision AI workers coordinating global supply chain operations — not just moving data, but managing workflows,” said Pablo Palafox, CEO of HappyRobot. “DHL recognized early the potential of AI agents as a new operating layer that brings speed, visibility, and consistency to logistics. We’re proud to scale this vision together.”
