From National Pilots to Regional Networks: Transforming the Lung Cancer Screening Ecosystem
Coreline Soft announced on the 23rd that it has supplied its AI-based chest disease simultaneous diagnosis platform, ‘AVIEW LCS Plus,’ to Klinikum Chemnitz GmbH, a public medical institution in Germany.
Klinikum Chemnitz is a teaching hospital affiliated with the Medical School of the Technical University of Dresden (TU Dresden). Located in Chemnitz, Saxony, it is a public general hospital with 1,785 beds, serving as a key medical and educational center in the region.
This contract is part of a clinical trial developed through Germany’s National Lung Cancer Screening Project (HANSE), led by Coreline Soft. It demonstrates that the company’s credibility and operational references are now expanding from the national level to regional medical institutions, marking a transition from early references centered on tertiary general hospitals to a practical ecosystem including public and teaching hospitals.
The HANSE project is one of Germany’s flagship national initiatives designed to verify the effectiveness of AI-based lung cancer screening systems. Following the project, the German government adopted AI reading solutions as an essential recommendation in the national lung cancer screening process and established an institutional foundation for their use.
The ‘AVIEW LCS Plus’ solution provided for the project is Coreline Soft’s flagship AI platform, specializing in lung nodule detection and analysis. The system has obtained key global regulatory certifications, including approvals from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European CE, and complies with HIPAA and GDPR standards.
Kim Jin-kook, CEO of Coreline Soft, said, “As national lung cancer screening programs are being rolled out in various European countries, the role of AI-based image interpretation solutions is extending beyond mere efficiency gains. They are becoming a core infrastructure for enhancing medical accessibility and diagnostic consistency. We will continue to work closely with medical professionals in each region to ensure that AI technology develops in ways that truly benefit patients in clinical practice.”
Meanwhile, Coreline Soft currently supplies its AVIEW solutions to six of Germany’s top ten hospitals, including Bonn University Hospital and Heidelberg University Hospital. Germany represents Coreline Soft’s largest European market, accounting for approximately 25% of the European medical device market, and ranks fourth globally, following the United States, China, and Japan.
