Amorepacific has strengthened its global design reputation after two of its beauty products, Sulwhasoo Jinsul Infusion Treatment and Longtake Eau de Parfum, were named winners at the 2026 Red Dot Design Award, one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions.

The company announced Wednesday that both products received recognition in their respective packaging design categories, demonstrating Amorepacific’s continued focus on combining functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability in product development.

The Red Dot Design Award, organized by Germany’s Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, is widely regarded as one of the world’s top three international design awards alongside the iF Design Award and the IDEA Design Award. Entries are evaluated based on innovation, design quality, usability, and overall brand experience.

Sulwhasoo Jinsul Infusion Treatment was selected as a winner in the Product Design – Packaging Design category. The product was recognized for transforming its refill-based usage system into an intuitive design experience.

Designed for a four-week refill replacement cycle, the product structure allows consumers to engage with the replacement process as part of a premium beauty ritual rather than simply as a maintenance task. The design reflects Sulwhasoo’s philosophy of blending traditional beauty values with modern functionality.

The container features a rotating mechanism that raises the pump when the top section is turned 90 degrees, improving both usability and visual appeal. A side slit window allows users to check the remaining amount and color of the product, while the minimalist exterior design enhances the brand’s premium identity by removing unnecessary decorative elements.

Longtake Eau de Parfum received the Brands & Communication Design – Packaging Design award for its approach to expressing the brand’s connection with nature through scent and visual design.

The product captures the depth of forests and the changing emotions of nature over time through its fragrance concept and packaging. Different colors are used to represent each scent profile, while the bottle design incorporates curves inspired by natural forms.

Sustainability was also considered in the design process. The product uses recyclable glass containers and a pump structure designed for easier separation, reflecting growing consumer demand for environmentally responsible beauty products.

Amorepacific said the latest recognition follows both products receiving awards at the 2026 iF Design Award, further demonstrating the company’s international competitiveness in design.

The company has increasingly focused on strengthening brand experiences through innovative packaging and user-centered design as competition in the global beauty market expands beyond product performance to include aesthetics, sustainability, and consumer engagement.

An Amorepacific official said, “Following recognition at the 2026 iF Design Award, these awards at the Red Dot Design Award once again confirm our global design capabilities. We will continue developing products that reflect both functional innovation and the unique philosophy of each brand.”

Industry observers noted that Korean beauty companies are placing greater emphasis on design innovation and sustainable packaging as key factors in expanding their presence in global markets. Amorepacific’s latest achievements are seen as another example of how K-beauty brands are strengthening competitiveness through differentiated brand experiences.
