The Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency (K-DATA), led by President Yang Jae-soo, has opened recruitment for supplier companies participating in the 2026 Data Voucher Support Project, with applications accepted from November 12 (Wednesday) to December 11 (Thursday).
Launched in 2019, the Data Voucher Support Project aims to revitalize Korea’s data economy by subsidizing data products and data utilization services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), small business owners, and prospective entrepreneurs. Demand for the program continues to grow: in 2025, a total of 4,699 companies applied, marking the highest competition rate in the program’s history at 10.2:1. Among them, 460 companies were selected and are currently receiving customized support across the full spectrum of data utilization.
Supporting the Full Data Lifecycle Through an Integrated Voucher System
The project operates through an integrated voucher format that covers the entire data lifecycle— planning/design, collection/generation, processing, and analysis/utilization.
This structure enables participating companies to combine the data products and services they need, depending on their individual requirements.
Recruitment for 2026 suppliers will also be based on this integrated voucher system, allowing K-DATA to identify and register companies capable of delivering a diverse range of data products and utilization services to demand-side participants.
Eligible applicants include domestic companies, government institutions, public organizations, research institutes, and universities that can sell data products or offer data-related services. To qualify, applicants must have completed the data business registration specified under Article 16 of the Framework Act on the Promotion and Utilization of the Data Industry.
All companies registered as suppliers in 2025 will see their qualifications expire on December 31, 2025. As a result, suppliers wishing to participate in the 2026 program must reapply during this recruitment period. Supplier registration is based on a qualification review and a professional evaluation committee review, which assesses the submitted business implementation plan and related documents.
Applications must be submitted via the Data Voucher Project Management System, following the procedures outlined in the official recruitment guidelines.
Yang Jae-soo, President of K-DATA, emphasized the central role of suppliers in Korea’s digital transformation, stating:
“Supplier companies form the core axis driving the development of data technology and industrial innovation. We hope many capable and forward-looking companies will participate and join us in creating new growth across Korea’s data industry.”
