LG Uplus announced that it successfully concluded its technology exhibition at MWC 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, where it showcased its vision of “Humanizing Every Connection,” an AI-driven approach focused on people-centered connectivity.
According to the company, approximately 70,000 visitors attended the LG Uplus exhibition booth during the event, representing about a 20 percent increase compared with last year. The exhibition drew strong interest from global telecom industry participants for presenting artificial intelligence not simply as a technical feature but as a technology designed to strengthen connections between people.
A major highlight of the exhibition was the future service demonstration of “ixi-O Pro,” an advanced version of the company’s AI calling application “ixi-O.” Many visitors stopped to explore the service, which illustrates how AI-powered communication technologies can enhance user interaction and customer engagement.
LG Uplus also expanded opportunities for collaboration with global telecom operators during the event. The company held strategic meetings with more than 20 telecommunications carriers and major technology companies worldwide to discuss potential global expansion of the ixi-O AI calling platform.
One telecommunications industry representative visiting the booth said it was impressive to see AI presented not merely as a standalone feature but as a solution aimed at expanding customer interaction. The representative added that many of the concepts demonstrated at the exhibition showed strong potential for commercialization if adapted to local market environments.
The company said the event also helped strengthen partnerships not only with major global telecom operators but also with big tech and AI infrastructure companies, laying the groundwork for the global expansion of its AI communication platform.
During the exhibition, government officials and executives from global telecom and technology companies visited the LG Uplus booth. Representatives from companies including Samsung Electronics, Nokia, and Ericsson also explored LG Uplus technologies such as the ixi-O-based AI services, autonomous networks, and security strategies, gaining insight into the company’s vision of human-centered AI.
Based on discussions held during MWC 2026, LG Uplus plans to gradually reveal the results of its global AI business expansion centered on the ixi-O platform at next year’s event. The company aims to develop various international use cases by expanding partnerships with telecom operators and global technology firms.
Jang Jun-young, Executive Vice President and Head of the Marketing Group at LG Uplus, said the company was able to introduce differentiated technologies including ixi-O Pro, AI contact center (AICC), AI data center (AIDC), and autonomous network technologies to the global telecom industry at MWC 2026. He added that LG Uplus will continue building a safer and more meaningful future of connectivity through human-centered AI technologies.
