SK AX is partnering with Daishin Securities to fundamentally transform financial IT infrastructure operations through artificial intelligence, marking a shift from reactive maintenance to predictive, autonomous management.
According to industry sources on March 23, SK AX has signed a long-term agreement with Daishin Securities to oversee the company’s entire IT infrastructure over the next seven years. The scope includes core systems such as servers, storage, and networks, with the goal of improving both operational efficiency and system stability.
At the center of the initiative is AXgenticWire NPO, an agentic AI-based operations platform. Unlike traditional models where human operators detect and respond to issues, the system is designed to identify anomalies in advance and carry out analysis, decision-making, and corrective actions autonomously.
The project places particular emphasis on minimizing service disruption risks, a critical concern in the financial sector where even a single system error can impact transactions and authentication processes. By leveraging AI, the two companies aim to proactively prevent operational risks before they escalate into service outages.
Daishin Securities has been strengthening its digital capabilities across its core business areas, including retail, wealth management, and investment banking. Through this collaboration, the company is expected to transition from a reactive IT operations model to a prevention-focused environment that ensures greater reliability for electronic financial services.
The rollout will be implemented in phases. In the initial stage, AI agents will be applied to key operational functions such as monitoring, backup, and incident response. Over time, the scope will expand to include performance, capacity, and security management. Notably, all AI agents are built on a no-code framework, allowing operators to easily create and manage them without advanced programming skills.
Both companies anticipate improvements in cost efficiency as well. By automating repetitive and manual processes, the system is expected to reduce operational overhead while minimizing the risk of human error.
Hong Jong-guk, Head of IT at Daishin Securities, said the partnership will enable the firm to adopt an agentic AI-based IT operations framework and move toward a more stable financial infrastructure centered on prevention rather than response. He added that the initiative is expected to significantly enhance operational efficiency and service reliability, strengthening the company’s digital competitiveness.
Industry experts view the collaboration as a signal of a broader shift in financial IT operations. In the past, response speed after system failures was considered a key competitive factor. Now, the ability to prevent disruptions in advance is becoming the new standard. Agentic AI, they say, has the potential to fundamentally reshape how financial infrastructure is managed.
SK AX plans to expand its agentic AI-based operations model beyond the financial sector into other industries, reflecting a growing demand for autonomous, AI-driven IT management across the enterprise landscape.
