Doosan Robotics announced on Tuesday that it has relocated and expanded its European headquarters to Frankfurt, Germany, as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence and customer support capabilities across Europe.

The company held an opening ceremony at the new facility, attended by more than 200 guests, including key regional partners, existing and prospective customers, robotics industry associations and local media representatives.

Doosan Robotics established its European subsidiary in 2024 after forming partnerships with system integrators (SIs) and distributors across major European markets, including Germany, France and the Netherlands. The relocation marks a shift from a sales-focused operation to a comprehensive regional hub offering service, training and demonstration capabilities.

Under the new operating model, the company will expand its after-sales support by providing component-level replacement services, maintaining spare parts inventories and repair equipment on-site, and conducting technical repair training locally. The company also plans to deploy replacement robots immediately when customer equipment experiences unexpected downtime, minimizing operational disruptions and improving responsiveness to customer feedback.

Doosan Robotics is also strengthening its local training infrastructure. The company will offer beginner, intermediate and advanced training courses for customers and SI partners at least twice a month. In addition, it will introduce a new “Live Repair” program that allows participants to disassemble and repair robots in a hands-on environment, helping improve practical maintenance skills and operational expertise.

During the opening event, Doosan Robotics showcased several commercially deployed automation solutions, including palletizing systems for stacking and arranging products, machine tending applications for loading and unloading manufacturing equipment, AI vision-based pick-and-place solutions, and robotic cocktail-making demonstrations.

The company plans to operate a permanent showroom where visitors can experience these applications firsthand. It also intends to establish an Application Center that will enable customers to collaborate directly with local engineers to develop customized robotic automation solutions tailored to specific industrial needs.

“Relocating to Frankfurt, one of Europe’s key transportation and logistics hubs, provides a stronger foundation for delivering faster and more diverse services to our customers and partners,” said Park In-won, CEO of Doosan Robotics. “Beyond supplying products, we aim to enhance brand trust and competitiveness in the European market through localized service capabilities and a comprehensive training infrastructure.”

The expansion reflects Doosan Robotics’ broader effort to strengthen its position in the global collaborative robot market by increasing customer engagement and providing localized technical support across key international regions.
