Doosan Enerbility has secured an additional gas turbine order in the United States, further strengthening its presence in the global power generation market.
The company announced on March 6 that it signed a contract with a U.S. company to supply seven 380-megawatt-class gas turbines. The turbines will be installed at a data center currently under construction by the client. Doosan Enerbility plans to deliver the gas turbines and generators sequentially starting in May 2029, supplying one unit each month.
With this latest contract, Doosan Enerbility will supply a total of 12 gas turbines to the United States.
The company’s rapid expansion in the U.S. gas turbine market is attributed to proven performance, competitive delivery schedules, and strong service support from its local subsidiary. After successfully developing a large gas turbine domestically in 2019, Doosan Enerbility completed 17,000 hours of demonstration operation, securing technological reliability.
Including the latest contract, the company has received orders for a total of 23 gas turbines, demonstrating its competitiveness in the global market. Maintenance and service capabilities provided by its Houston-based subsidiary, Doosan Turbomachinery Services (DTS), have also contributed to securing orders.
Son Seung-woo, Head of the Power Service Business Group at Doosan Enerbility, said that supplying a total of 12 gas turbines to the U.S. market through this contract further strengthens the company’s position as a global player. He added that Doosan will continue providing competitive gas turbine solutions while actively responding to growing demand in domestic and international markets.
