Hyundai Card’s digital art initiative is expanding into Europe, bringing its curated media art content from Seoul and New York to a leading European institution.

The company announced on March 30 that A Living Poem, a work by U.S.-based AI visual artist Sasha Stiles previously featured on Hyundai Card’s “Digital Wall,” will be exhibited at ZKM Center for Art and Media.

Hyundai Card Digital Wall is a large-scale digital display platform installed at the company’s headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, as well as at the Agnes Gund Garden Lobby of Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), offering free public access to digital artworks. A Living Poem was showcased on the platform from September last year through March this year, presenting a continuously evolving digital poem created through the fusion of human imagination and algorithmic processes.

ZKM selected the work after encountering it at MoMA, recognizing both the artistic merit of the piece and the significance of the artist’s practice.

The exhibition marks a meaningful expansion of Hyundai Card’s Digital Wall project into Europe, as content co-produced with MoMA is now being presented at one of the continent’s leading media art institutions. In addition to Sasha Stiles, Hyundai Card has introduced works by globally renowned media artists such as Rafaël Rozendaal and Peggy Weil.

ZKM, located in Karlsruhe, Germany, is widely regarded as a world-class media art center and is often referred to as the “Bauhaus of the digital age,” carrying forward the design legacy of the Bauhaus movement. Hyundai Card highlighted the strong alignment between ZKM’s experimental approach to blending technology and art and its own vision.

A Living Poem will be displayed for approximately two weeks until April 12 on a large LED screen in Atrium 8 on the first floor, as part of ZKM’s “The Screen” opening program under the curatorial project “Three Positions on AI and Art.”

Alistair Hudson, Artistic and Scientific Director at ZKM, said the exhibition is particularly meaningful as it reflects the artist’s diverse background and the history of women in media art, adding that the collaboration with Hyundai Card and MoMA strengthens a global network of artists.

A Hyundai Card official stated that the expansion of Digital Wall content from Korea and the United States to Europe represents a new milestone, adding that the company will continue to deliver innovative cultural experiences that merge technology and art.
