CJ OliveNetworks is reinforcing its strong market position by securing a series of major contracts in the broadcast and media IT sector, demonstrating its distinctive competitiveness in the industry.
Broadcast and media IT services are one of the company’s core businesses, covering the entire project lifecycle from planning and consulting to development, networking, and infrastructure construction. CJ OliveNetworks currently operates a dedicated workforce of more than 150 specialists and has accumulated extensive experience building newsroom systems for major domestic broadcasters, as well as digital archives, content management systems (CMS), and content distribution platforms.
Most recently, CJ OliveNetworks won the contract to build a next-generation Newsroom Computer System (NRCS) for comprehensive programming channel MBN, marking the start of a full-scale system advancement project.
The project focuses on three main areas: establishing user-centric news production, programming, and advertising systems; creating a secure smart work environment through enhanced security measures; and providing structured support for project and operations management.
To deliver the project, CJ OliveNetworks is applying four differentiated strategies: strengthening project expertise through specialized broadcast and media professionals, innovating user-focused digital workflows, implementing access control–based security frameworks, and supporting customer-led change management. Through these initiatives, the company aims to realize AX (AI Transformation) in newsroom information systems.
Scheduled for official launch in October, the new MBN newsroom system is expected to provide a sustainable infrastructure capable of responding flexibly to the rapidly evolving media environment. By significantly improving news production efficiency, the system is anticipated to contribute to MBN’s long-term competitiveness.
In parallel, CJ OliveNetworks has also successfully completed a broadcast system advancement project at LoL PARK, the esports stadium dedicated to League of Legends, one of the world’s most popular games.
The project involved upgrading aging esports broadcast equipment, including camera systems, real-time communication devices for players and commentators, and live transmission systems, to state-of-the-art broadcast technology.
Leveraging its accumulated expertise in broadcast infrastructure construction and operational know-how, CJ OliveNetworks delivered the project successfully, enabling a clearer, more vivid, and immersive viewing experience for esports fans.
“Winning these projects is further recognition of CJ OliveNetworks’ top-tier broadcast and media IT capabilities and operational expertise,” said Shin Bong-ho, head of Broadcast and Media at CJ OliveNetworks. “We will continue to support our clients as a strategic partner driving digital transformation in the media industry, delivering differentiated technologies that create tangible business value.”
