The global e-sports tournament Summoners War World Arena Championship 2025 (SWC2025) opened to great fanfare on November 1 at 9:00 p.m. KST at La Seine Musicale in Paris, France.
The event began amid rousing cheers from more than 1,500 spectators who had gathered from across Europe. A countdown unveiled this year’s trophy, and the 12 competitors vying for the championship took the stage, raising the energy in the venue to a peak.
The field includes defending champion KELIANBAO, previous Paris winner LEST, local representative GUTSTHEBERSERK, regional-cup victors PU, RAIGEKI and RAXXAZ, dark horses KANGJING, P4FFIX and GOLEMPICHAGA, among others. The players will compete in a single-elimination tournament to determine the champion.
The first-round slate features a veteran matchup between LEST and TAKUZO10, with other tightly contested pairings scheduled, including PANDALIK3 vs. GOLEMPICHAGA, P4FFIX vs. ZEZAS, and GUTSTHEBERSERK vs. KELIANBAO, drawing keen attention from fans.
Paris, hosting the SWC finale for the first time in six years, saw summoners arriving from the morning to create a festival atmosphere. All attendees received official SWC2025 welcome goods, and the venue offered various activities, including match-prediction events and other on-site entertainment.
SWC2025 marks the ninth edition of the global Summoners War: Sky Arena championship. In addition to the offline stage, the finals are being broadcast live worldwide with professional commentary in 13 languages—including Korean, English, French and German—on the official Summoners War e-sports YouTube channel.
