Valletta, Malta – 28 January 2026 – OKX announced the launch of the OKX Card in Europe, a payment card that allows users to spend stablecoins at merchants that accept Mastercard.
According to the company, the card is intended to reduce steps commonly associated with crypto card payments, such as manually converting assets or preloading balances. OKX said cardholders can pay directly with stablecoins, with conversion occurring at the point of purchase.
OKX stated that stablecoins remain in the user’s wallet until a transaction is made. The company described the product as using an onchain, self-custody design in which assets are not held in centralized exchange custody.
OKX said the card includes the following features and terms:
Fees and conversion: No transaction or FX fees are stated, with a 0.4% market spread when converting stablecoins to euros.
Rewards (limited-time): Rewards are credited in crypto and applied to eligible purchases, with the company citing up to 20% back for VIP users and up to 15% back for regular users over a 30-day period.
Payments: Tap-to-pay support through mobile wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, for online and in-store purchases.
Acceptance: Usable at the company’s stated network of more than 150 million Mastercard-accepting merchants.
Mastercard said the partnership is intended to expand consumer access to stablecoin spending through its payments network. OKX Europe said the product is issued through a licensed European payments partner and operates within the European Economic Area under AML and KYC requirements.
OKX said it plans to expand card-related offerings over time, including additional tiers and potential integrations with merchants and Web3 commerce services.
