PU, representing the Asia‑Pacific region, captured the world title at the global esports tournament Summoners War World Arena Championship 2025 (SWC2025).
The competition to determine the best players of Com2uS’s flagship title Summoners War: Sky Arena concluded with the world final in Paris on November 1, following regional qualifiers and main events through October. Twelve regional champions clashed in the finals, and PU emerged victorious.
PU secured a spot in the main event via the lower‑bracket win in Group A of the Asia‑Pacific qualifiers, then went on to win the Asia‑Pacific Cup for a second consecutive year. At the world final, he defeated top contenders including LEST, PANDALIK3 and RAXXAZ in succession to claim the trophy.
Holding the winner’s cup with a bright smile, PU said, “I still can’t believe it. I achieved a goal I’ve dreamed of for seven years.” He added that, as a representative of Vietnam, he wanted to repay the community’s support with a victory and thanked friends and fans whose encouragement propelled him.
After a disappointing quarterfinal exit at last year’s world final, PU displayed more mature play this year. “I was very nervous at my first appearance, but that experience built my confidence,” he said. “This year I could calmly focus on strategy.”
PU drew attention for his inventive deck builds and meticulous rune and artifact management. “Many summoners focus on specific elements or monsters, but I wanted to create variables by using underrated monsters,” he explained.
He named LEST as the player he respects most, saying, “When I beat LEST I felt the championship was within reach,” while also expressing continued admiration for the rival. PU cited TAKUZO10’s opening match as particularly inspiring for its experimental strategies, praising Summoners War’s ability to continually provoke new ideas.
“New strategies come to me every time I play. I invest a lot of time in research and training—Summoners War is part of my daily life and who I am,” PU said. He credited his family’s support for his victory and said he plans to spend the prize money on time with them.
SWC, a global esports festival where summoners from around the world compete and connect, will mark its 10th anniversary in 2026. PU expressed hope that more players will join and that the tournament will continue for decades, confirming his intention to compete again next year.
Responding to a nickname given by Korean fans, “Pu‑yeomdung‑i,” he thanked Korean supporters and said, “I think all players are cute.”
SWC2025 concluded with the Paris world final, and highlights of PU’s performance are available on the official Summoners War esports YouTube channel.
