Pearl Abyss announced that its latest title Crimson Desert reached a new milestone on March 30, recording 270,000 concurrent users on Steam and setting a new peak for the game.

The game’s user rating on Steam has also improved significantly, rising from “Generally Positive” to “Very Positive” globally within a week of release. It currently ranks No. 2 among the most popular games on the platform and No. 1 among paid titles.

Pearl Abyss attributed the strong performance in part to its rapid response to player feedback. A patch released on March 29 introduced improvements to controls, reduced loading times, enhanced the user interface, and added new content to improve overall gameplay comfort and experience.

Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure game that follows the journey of protagonist Kliff and his Greymane companions. Players explore the seamless continent of Pywel as they seek to reclaim their lost homeland and reunite scattered allies.

The title also achieved strong early sales performance, selling 2 million copies globally on its launch day and surpassing 3 million copies within four days, marking a record for a Korean-developed game.

Crimson Desert is available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Mac, Epic Games Store, and ROG Xbox Ally (Ally | Ally X).
