LONDON, Feb. 11, 2026 — Zodia Custody has launched Zodia Switch, a feature that enables institutional clients to conduct on-chain digital asset swaps directly from their custodial wallets without transferring funds to an external trading venue.
The service is built in partnership with LMAX Group, a provider of institutional foreign exchange and digital asset trading venues. Through Zodia Switch, mutual clients can exchange supported ERC-20 tokens — including ether, wrapped bitcoin, and stablecoins such as RLUSD, USDC, and USDT — while maintaining custody of assets within Zodia’s platform.
According to the companies, pricing and trade execution are delivered through LMAX infrastructure integrated into Zodia Custody’s system. The model allows institutions to access liquidity without pre-funding exchange accounts or transferring assets off custody, a process that has traditionally introduced operational delays and counterparty exposure.
Zodia Custody said clients retain governance controls, permissioned anti-money laundering screening, and full audit trails throughout each transaction. The firm emphasized that it does not operate a trading venue or act as a counterparty in the swaps.
Company representatives described the launch as an effort to reduce friction in institutional digital asset management, particularly for portfolio rebalancing and liquidity access. The feature is positioned as part of Zodia Custody’s broader trading and settlement infrastructure, expanding on earlier liquidity integration services.
LMAX Group stated that embedding its liquidity access directly into custodial environments reflects growing institutional demand for infrastructure that combines regulated market access with secure asset control.
Zodia Custody’s shareholder base includes Standard Chartered, Northern Trust, SBI Holdings, National Australia Bank, and Emirates NBD. The company provides custody, treasury, and settlement services to institutional investors across multiple jurisdictions.
Regulatory status and service availability vary by region. Zodia Custody entities are supervised by financial authorities in Luxembourg, Abu Dhabi Global Market, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong under applicable digital asset and financial services frameworks.
LMAX Group operates institutional trading venues and market infrastructure across foreign exchange and digital assets, serving banks, funds, brokerages, and asset managers globally.
The companies said the collaboration is intended to support increased institutional participation in on-chain markets while maintaining compliance and operational oversight.
