LS ELECTRIC is accelerating its growth in the North American data center power infrastructure market, securing a series of major projects in the region.
The company announced on November 17 that it recently signed a transformer supply contract worth approximately KRW 110 billion (about USD 76 million) for an AI data center power infrastructure project in the United States. While the client remains undisclosed due to contractual terms, the project is known to be part of a large-scale data center complex being built to meet rapidly increasing AI-related demand.
Under the agreement, LS ELECTRIC will supply distribution transformer–based power solutions in phases from next year through 2028, over a period of roughly two years. The company emphasized that its technical competitiveness and high product reliability led to the contract win despite challenges such as global supply chain instability and fluctuating U.S. tariffs.
LS ELECTRIC has been recognized for its technology responsiveness and service quality, having supplied large-scale circuit breakers to the same client since 2022. According to the company, collaborative partnerships, customized technical support for local customers, and strong price competitiveness played a major role in meeting the strict quality standards required by large U.S. data centers.
This latest achievement follows another contract the company secured earlier this month for a data center project in Tennessee, involving the supply of switchgear and transformers. LS ELECTRIC noted that the latest order was an additional request from an existing customer, underscoring accumulated trust and strengthening future order potential.
A company representative said, “It is significant that global data center clients recognize LS ELECTRIC as a total power infrastructure solutions provider. We will continue to explore new business opportunities and expand our presence in the rapidly growing North American market, where demand for power infrastructure is surging due to AI and cloud adoption.”
