NCsoft (NC) held its opening session at G-Star 2025, where it revealed five upcoming titles. The event featured a keynote speech by NC’s Chief Creative Officer (CCO), Kim Taek-jin, who emphasized that G-Star is a platform showcasing both NC's present and future.

In his opening speech, Kim Taek-jin highlighted the significance of participating in G-Star and shared NC’s development philosophy and vision. He expressed gratitude to gamers and industry members, stating, “Thanks to the trust and support from gamers and everyone in the game industry, we are here today. NC’s participation as the main sponsor for the first time in G-Star’s history demonstrates our commitment to the growth of Korea’s gaming industry and our responsibility to lead.”

Kim recognized the profound changes occurring in the gaming industry. He explained, “In the past, a few blockbuster titles dominated the market, and players consumed games by following the flow. Today, players are engaging in viewing, sharing, and creating content—making their own experiences into new forms of entertainment. We constantly think about how our games will be perceived in this evolving cultural landscape driven by new technologies and generations.”

Regarding NC’s core values amidst these changes, Kim stated, “We love creating games where people are connected, feel joy, grow, and create memories together. Since our founding in 1997, we’ve been making stories that make people laugh, grow, and remember. That’s the essence of NC’s games and the color we bring to the industry.”

He also hinted at upcoming projects, saying, “We aim to reflect NC’s unique identity in a variety of ways, with new perspectives on MMORPGs and ventures into genres like shooting, action, and subculture, all with our distinct touch.” He concluded, “Even now, someone is finding comfort or inspiration through games, easing life’s difficulties. G-Star is not only a showcase of our current achievements but also the stage for opening the first chapter of our future.”
