Hyundai Motor Company and Kia have opened recruitment for the seventh Softeer Boot Camp, an intensive eight-week training program designed to discover and nurture emerging software talent while offering opportunities for direct employment.
The program, which runs from December to February, is part of Hyundai Motor Group’s broader effort to strengthen its capabilities in Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs) and to secure outstanding talent in software development, service planning, and design — key areas shaping the future mobility industry.
Five Specialized Tracks
A total of 86 participants will be selected across five categories:
Web Front-End
Web Back-End
Data Engineering
Service Planning
UI (User Interface) Design
Eligible applicants include those who graduated (or will graduate) between August 2025 and August 2026 from domestic or international universities. Applications are open from October 20 to November 4 via the official website: softeerbootcamp.hyundaimotorgroup.com
.
Hands-On Curriculum and Mentorship
Participants will be chosen through a two-stage online assessment, personality test, and interviews evaluating technical and foundational knowledge. The program is fully funded and structured into a month of theoretical training followed by practical team-based projects, with final evaluations conducted by Hyundai and Kia engineers.
This year’s boot camp expands on previous editions with specialized meetups and one-on-one mentoring by current professionals, designed to deepen participants’ understanding of real-world development environments and strengthen their practical skills.
Graduates who successfully complete the program will undergo a final interview and may be offered positions at Hyundai Motor Company or Kia as software developers, service planners, UI designers, or data engineers.
Corporate Commitment to Software Talent Development
“Softeer Boot Camp represents our continued commitment to fostering high-quality software talent and contributing to a positive change in the IT and mobility sectors,” said Jin Eun-sook, Vice President of ICT at Hyundai Motor Company and Kia.
“We will keep strengthening the program in line with the latest industry trends and our responsibility to society.”
Since its launch in 2023, Softeer Boot Camp has produced approximately 470 graduates, many of whom have gone on to roles in software development, planning, and design across Hyundai, Kia, and other leading companies in Korea’s tech and automotive industries.
