JW Pharmaceutical said on April 15 that results from a large-scale global observational study on “Ducray Neoptide Expert” have been released.
Ducray Neoptide Expert is a hair care cosmetic product developed by France-based Pierre Fabre and exclusively distributed in Korea by JW Pharmaceutical. The study was conducted across 13 countries, including Korea, involving 1,676 participants. It aimed to observe changes in hair condition following product use across diverse real-world cases.
The study included participants aged 18 to 93 with a wide range of skin types (Fitzpatrick I–VI), allowing researchers to assess the product’s broad applicability and safety profile. In Korea, a separate observational study was conducted with 110 participants experiencing various hair-related concerns.
According to the findings, users reported improvements in overall hair condition, including volume, shine, and density, after using the product. Positive feedback was observed not only in standalone use but also when the product was used alongside existing hair care routines or professional treatment programs.
The study also indicated high levels of user satisfaction across different daily hair care environments. Among experts involved in the study, 97.3% expressed willingness to continue using the product, while 93.6% of participants indicated the same.
A JW Pharmaceutical official said the results suggest the product may offer practical benefits for consumers with hair-related concerns, based on real-world observational data. The company added that it plans to continue expanding its product lineup to provide more options for consumers seeking hair care solutions.
JW Pharmaceutical currently offers a portfolio of treatments targeting various causes of hair loss, including genetic factors, childbirth, and seborrheic dermatitis. Its lineup includes oral medications such as finasteride-based products “Monade” and “Monasta,” as well as the dutasteride-based “Dutamore.” In 2024, the company expanded into hair care cosmetics through an exclusive distribution agreement with Pierre Fabre, marking a broader move beyond pharmaceutical treatments into comprehensive hair care solutions.
