Com2uS announced that SAPPYYY, a player from Toronto, Canada, has emerged as the champion of the Americas Cup at the Summoners War World Arena Championship 2026 (SWC2026), its flagship global esports tournament.

Held at the Chrysalis Hall of Toronto Metropolitan University at 3 a.m. KST on October 11, the Americas Cup brought together eight players who advanced through regional qualifiers. Competing in a single-elimination bracket with best-of-five matches, the players battled for three coveted spots at the World Finals.

Despite entering the competition ranked third in pre-tournament predictions, SAPPYYY delivered a series of dominant performances to claim the title. In the quarterfinals, SAPPYYY swept TRUEWHALE 3–0, overcoming the top-ranked contender who had won the Americas regional championship in both 2023 and 2024. SAPPYYY continued the impressive run in the semifinals, defeating ZEDORUS by the same score to advance to the final.

The championship match proved to be a much closer contest. Facing ZEZAS, SAPPYYY battled through five sets before securing a 3–2 victory and lifting the trophy. The result was particularly memorable for local fans, as a Toronto-born competitor became the Americas champion on home soil.

ZEZAS finished as runner-up, while MONAGUA secured third place by defeating ZEDORUS 3–0 in the third-place playoff. The three players advancing to the World Finals from the Americas are SAPPYYY, ZEZAS, and MONAGUA.

The top four finishers—SAPPYYY, ZEZAS, MONAGUA, and ZEDORUS—received medals and a share of the tournament's total prize pool of $20,000. The champion took home $10,000.

With the Americas Cup concluded, nine of the 12 competitors for the SWC2026 World Finals have now been determined. The remaining three places will be awarded to the top three finishers at the Asia-Pacific Cup, scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 17.

The 12 qualified players will meet at KBS Arena in Seoul on November 14 to compete for the title of SWC's 10th world champion.

Launched in 2017, SWC is Com2uS's premier global esports competition based on its hit mobile game Summoners War. The annual tournament has grown into a major international event, bringing together players and fans from around the world. This year's edition marks the competition's 10th anniversary.

Fans who missed the Americas Cup can watch the matches on the official Summoners War esports YouTube channel. Further tournament updates and details are available through the official Summoners War community forum.
