Daesang will participate in Food Ingredients Europe 2025 (FiE 2025) in Paris, France, from December 2 to 4, as the company accelerates its global expansion in the ingredient business.
First launched in 1986, FiE is Europe’s largest food ingredient and additive exhibition, serving as a global hub for showcasing innovative technologies and market trends. This year, more than 1,550 companies and over 24,000 visitors from around 135 countries are expected to attend.
Daesang, a leading player in both the domestic and international specialty ingredient markets driven by its advanced fermentation technology, will introduce three major product categories at the event: natural flavor enhancers, EMULAID modified starch, and microalgae-based ingredients.
The company aims to promote its extensive ingredient portfolio built on decades of fermentation expertise, expand global sales channels, and strengthen its partnerships to solidify its presence as a global ingredient provider.
A key highlight will be “Dsavory,” a natural seasoning solution that enhances umami while preserving a food’s authentic taste. It delivers deep, meat-like flavors without using animal-derived ingredients, making it suitable for applications such as soups, snacks, and plant-based meats. Daesang will host tasting events featuring nuggets and soups formulated with Dsavory to give visitors a hands-on product experience.
The company will also showcase six high-value amino acids including L-arginine, L-glutamine, and L-citrulline, used extensively in pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, and animal nutrition and experiencing growing global demand.
In addition, Daesang will introduce its microalgae-derived plant-based protein ingredients — Green Chlorella, GoldRella, and White Chlorella — valued for their balanced composition of protein, dietary fiber, essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. These products have acquired self-affirmed GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status in the U.S., enabling commercial food applications in the market.
Another featured product is EMULAID, a modified starch ingredient that prevents separation of oil and water to maintain texture and flavor stability. Made from glutinous corn starch, it is vegan-friendly and offers low viscosity and excellent solubility in cold water, allowing wide processing versatility.
“FiE 2025 provides a major opportunity for Daesang to demonstrate the competitive strength of our specialty ingredients built on unique technological expertise,” said Lee Hyo-hoon, Head of Ingredient Marketing at Daesang. “We will leverage this event to strengthen our global network and gain insights into emerging trends in the ingredient market.”
