Daewoong Pharmaceutical is strengthening the global commercial and academic network behind its botulinum toxin product NABOTA as the brand expands across international markets.

The company said it is hosting “NABOTA®EDGE: Global Academic Program” from Sept. 3 to 5 at Parnas Hotel Jeju, bringing together 40 key sales and academic personnel from partner companies in 22 countries.

The program is designed to deepen partners’ understanding of NABOTA and help them develop the academic and marketing capabilities needed to execute consistent product and brand strategies in their respective markets.

The initiative comes as NABOTA moves beyond expanding regulatory approvals and distribution partnerships toward building a more integrated global network capable of supporting the brand’s long-term growth.

From product knowledge to clinical communication

The program covers NABOTA’s global vision, brand identity and international marketing and education strategies, as well as product characteristics and global clinical data.

Participants will also take part in practical sessions designed to provide a deeper understanding of the product.

Academic training is another major component. Sessions cover basic facial anatomy, standardized NABOTA injection guidelines, safety management and adverse-event response, providing partners with information they can use when communicating with healthcare professionals in their local markets.

For a botulinum toxin business, where physicians and medical professionals play a central role in product adoption, Daewoong sees the academic capabilities of local partners as increasingly important as NABOTA enters more countries.

Sharing market experience across regions

NABOTA®EDGE also provides a platform for partners to share their experiences across different markets.

A “Global Best Practices” session will examine cases from Korea, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America. Other sessions and roundtable discussions will address investigator-initiated trials, academic platforms and brand management.

The format is intended to allow partners not only to receive information from Daewoong Pharmaceutical but also to exchange market-specific knowledge and operational experience with one another.

NABOTA has emerged as one of Daewoong Pharmaceutical’s key global products. As of 2026, cumulative sales have surpassed 1 trillion won, while the company expects annual sales to reach 300 billion won this year.

The product has received regulatory approval in 69 countries, including markets across the United States, Europe and Asia, while Daewoong has established partnerships covering approximately 80 countries.

As that footprint grows, the company plans to strengthen both medical education programs for healthcare professionals and training initiatives for local partners responsible for developing the business in each market.

“Given NABOTA’s rapid growth in the global market, it is important for our partners in each country to have a shared understanding and expertise regarding the product and brand,” said Yoon Jun-soo, head of Daewoong Pharmaceutical’s NABOTA Business Division.

“Through NABOTA®EDGE, we will strengthen the foundation for our headquarters and global partners to closely share academic and business strategies and consistently communicate NABOTA’s value in each market,” Yoon said.
