KCC will participate in the international shipbuilding and offshore industry exhibition ‘KORMARINE 2025,’ held at BEXCO in Busan from October 21 to 24.

KORMARINE is one of the world’s top five shipbuilding material exhibitions, providing an overview of the latest innovations in shipbuilding, offshore plants, and marine energy, along with advanced equipment and new products. As Korea’s leading ship coating manufacturer, KCC has been the most actively participating domestic paint company at the event, consistently promoting the excellence of its marine coatings since its debut in 2009. This year marks KCC’s seventh appearance, and the company has set up a booth in Hall 2 of BEXCO's Exhibition Hall 1 (Booth No. 2F53), showcasing its latest ship coating technologies and product lineup to global clients.

At this year’s exhibition, KCC will prominently display its eco-friendly silicon antifouling coating, ‘MetaCruise BF (Biocide Free),’ along with a range of marine thermal insulation products.

MetaCruise BF is a newly launched product this year, featuring a silicon-based antifouling coating that does not use biocides. As the global trend toward environmentally friendly solutions intensifies, MetaCruise BF provides antifouling performance purely through silicon, minimizing friction resistance on the hull surface, improving fuel efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions. In September, the product was successfully applied to vessels operated by MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company), the world’s largest container shipping company, establishing its technological prowess in the global market. Discussions are currently underway with several overseas shipping companies for supply contracts, and high interest is expected at the exhibition.

Additionally, KCC will showcase its inorganic thermal insulation materials designed to enhance fire resistance and insulation performance for ships. These materials, including mineral wool, Ceracur, and glass wool, are certified for quality, performance, and safety by domestic (KS), Japanese (JIS), and European (CE) authorities.

A KCC representative stated, “Participating in this exhibition allows us to communicate directly with domestic and international clients and promote our eco-friendly products widely. Moving forward, we will continue to develop environmentally sustainable technologies and strengthen global marketing efforts to support the sustainable growth of the shipbuilding and offshore industries.”

Furthermore, KCC’s ship antifouling and anticorrosive coatings are recognized as ‘World Class Products’ by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, confirming their role as core products supplied throughout the global shipbuilding and marine industry.
