Nongshim has opened the fourth global location of its Shin Ramyun Bunshik at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, further reinforcing its position as a leading K-ramyun brand on the global stage. The company announced that the new store officially opened on December 19 at Terminal 1 of JFK Airport.

Shin Ramyun Bunshik is an experiential space directly operated by Nongshim, designed to showcase Shin Ramyun to global consumers. Since launching its first location in Machu Picchu, Peru, in April, the brand has expanded to Harajuku in Japan, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, and now New York, one of the world’s most influential economic and cultural hubs.

The new store is a permanent cafeteria-style outlet located on the fourth floor of Terminal 1’s food court. Terminal 1 serves major global airlines, making it an ideal location to introduce travelers from around the world to Korea’s signature spicy flavor. The opening also marks Nongshim’s expansion of Shin Ramyun’s presence from airline meals to major international airports.

Taking into account the fast-paced nature of airport dining, Nongshim focused on a menu that is quick, convenient, and faithful to the original taste of ramyun. Customers can enjoy freshly prepared Shin Ramyun cooked on the spot in the popular “Han River ramyun” style, with a topping bar offering options such as eggs and cheese to customize each bowl.

The menu includes flagship products such as Shin Ramyun and Shin Ramyun Black, as well as Shin Ramyun Toomba, which has recently gained popularity in global markets, and Soon Ramyun, catering to the growing vegan trend. A selection of Nongshim’s well-known snacks, including Banana Kick and Shrimp Crackers, is also available, offering a comprehensive K-food experience that spans both ramyun and snacks.

Through the JFK Airport opening, Nongshim aims to further boost brand awareness in the U.S. market. By operating a store at an airport used by more than 62 million passengers annually, the company seeks to position Shin Ramyun not just as a Korean product, but as a global K-food enjoyed by travelers worldwide. Earlier, Nongshim also showcased the brand with large-scale outdoor advertising and on-site performances in Times Square.

A Nongshim official said that JFK Airport, as a global trendsetting hub, is a landmark location that highlights Shin Ramyun’s international status. The official added that the company hopes Shin Ramyun Bunshik will leave lasting memories for travelers at both the beginning and end of their journeys.

Meanwhile, Nongshim continues to strengthen its experiential marketing strategy by opening Shin Ramyun Bunshik locations at major landmarks and tourist destinations worldwide. With expansion now spanning South America, Asia, and North America, the company is accelerating its global footprint.
